The ingredients needed to cook Calzone:
  1. Get 2 pkgs pizza dough mix
  2. Provide Mozzarella cheese
  3. Take Pizza toppings of choice
  4. Provide 1/2 stick butter
  5. Take 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  6. Provide 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  7. Use Parmesan Cheese
Instructions to make Calzone:
  1. Mix up pizza mix as instructed. Or you can use canned pizza dough. Press out on baking sheet. Cut in half or fourths pending on size you want.
  2. Add small amount of sauce onto half of one piece careful to not go to edge.
  3. Add desired toppings on top of the sauce and top with cheese. Fold over pizza dough and pinch together with fingers or fork.
  4. In small bowl add butter, minced garlic and italian seasoning and melt in microwave. Brush on the top of calzones. Cut 2 vent holes in the top.. Bake in oven according to pizza dough package
  5. Heat remaining pizza sauce with some parmesan to dip

Slide the calzone (on its baking paper) onto the tray and immediately return it to the oven. Do this as quickly as you can do avoid losing heat. Take the calzone out of the oven, slide. Close the calzone, pulling the side without the filling over, then crimp around the edge, so it looks like a giant Cornish pasty. For each calzone, lift the side of the dough without filling and gently pull it across to the other side, creating a half-moon shape over the filling.
